Hi everyone,
As I've been talking with teachers and observing how people share resources, I noticed that very few people use URL shorteners. A URL shortener is a service that takes a really long URL and makes it shorter (obviously)! Some services allow you to customize your URL, while others don't. My personal favorite URL shortener is bit.ly, but there are some other great options as well: TinyUrl, Google URL Shortener, and more!

What makes bit.ly so special, you ask?
There are a few features that Bit.ly has that I believe set it apart from the rest:
If you want to get started, head to bit.ly to sign up then add the extension.
Good luck!
- Users create accounts and track their bit.ly usage.
- Users can customize their URLs and have the ability to go back in and change the URL again!
- Users can tag and organize their Bitly's.
- With Bit.ly's Google Extension, shortening and sharing URLs is VERY easy! Simply click the logo in the Google Extension toolbar to customize and share your links!
